Newsweek has posted the following interesting video about the background and renovations of the Gettysburg Cyclorama, the “IMAX of their day,” a painting that reportedly made veterans of the Civil War weep.

    Very cool painting. I remember when I first saw it when I was 13. It was a magnificent labor of great insight. Its size was quite astonishing

    I would like to see it… I’ve never seen a cyclorama before, and seeing this one at Gettysburg would be impressive in more ways that one.
