My name is Joseph (Jody) Howard and I am a native of Asheville NC where I attended TC Roberson High School and the University of North Carolina, Asheville. After graduation in May of 2003 I attended the University of the South, School of Theology where I graduated in May of 2006. I am married to the wonderful Anna Aven Howard, and I am a priest in the Diocese of Tennessee. I have served as a curate at Trinity Church, Winchester TN (July 1, 2006- June 31, 2007) and as Vicar of St. Francis Church in Goodlettsville TN (July 2007- December 2009). Beginning in January 2010 I have been serving as priest-in-charge of St. Joseph of Arimathea Episcopal Church in Hendersonville TN, where I hope to remain for some time.
This web page is a place where I share my thoughts on all sorts of issues and topics (on my blog) including history, theology, Christianity, traditional conservatism, as well as Southern and Appalachian culture. In addition, I have resources and writings on various pages that delve deeper into these topics.
